While searching for more Joe photography I found some pictures of some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle action figures. I really loved how they started out with the action figures that appeared in the show and then moved to wacky action figures that had little to do with the show or at least that is how I remember it. I think this approach should be adopted be the makers of historical action figures. Let's not try to remember these individuals as they were, but how we would have liked them to be. Actually this approach is in effect as far as history goes(there are many myths about Washington. He didn't chop down a cherry tree), but can we please carry this over to our toys. THINK ABOUT THE CHILDREN!!! We should remember these figures as evil fighting brilliant killing machines (maybe killing androids, that's less violent. However, these androids would bleed human blood) with robotic wings and razor blade eyes.
Now, if these toy makers would cooperate and take my advice...then our great historical figures will receive the attention that they deserve. The attention like the Ninja Turtles currently receive.
